Hotel Bellevue was built in 1873 in the style of the “Ringstrasse-Hotels” on the occasion of the Vienna World Exhibition.

It was planned by the Jewish architect Wilhelm Stiassny, who was born in Bratislava. He studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Friedrich von Schmidt, who once designed the famous Vienna City Hall. The architectural details of the facade of the building have been preserved to this day.

A classic ambiance also awaits you inside the building. Lovely details and a contemporary but traditional design accompany you through the entire house. The 167 air-conditioned rooms and suites are equipped with all amenities and combine living comfort with a historic ambiance.

The central but quiet location in the 9th district of Alsergrund makes Hotel Bellevue an ideal starting point for your visit to Vienna. Numerous sights, such as the State Opera, the Museum of Art and Natural History, and the town hall can be reached quickly and easily both by public transport and by bike (which can be rented nearby). You can also explore the surrounding area on foot, where you will find well-known Viennese parks such as the Augarten with the oldest baroque garden in Vienna or the partly publicly accessible Liechtenstein Park with the impressive Palais Liechtenstein.
